CCMUNCS Access initiative

AT CCMUNCS, we believe that everyone deserves access to opportunities and education.

that is why we are now announcing the ccmuncs access initiative.

The Inaugural Session of the California Coastal Model United Nations Conference & Symposium (CCMUNCS) is excited to introduce the exclusive CCMUNCS Access Initiative. This one-of-a-kind program is specifically designed to alleviate the financial burdens of schools and delegates, making it easier for them to attend the conference and stay at the designated accommodations. For our inaugural session, we are committed to distributing a substantial amount of financial aid to schools and individuals, with the aim of enabling as many as possible to participate in this unique educational experience. This initiative is a testament to our dedication to making international relations education more accessible, and we look forward to attracting a diverse and large pool of students to participate.

The CCMUNCS Access Initiative is a significant step towards making our conference more inclusive, particularly for high school students from underserved communities and those facing educational barriers. We are proud to offer scholarships to both individuals and whole delegations, ensuring a wider participation. While we strive to meet all financial aid requests, please understand that our budget is limited. Our primary mission is to support students from underserved communities, helping them overcome financial obstacles and access valuable educational opportunities.

what kind of expenses are eligible for financial aid?

We offer financial aid for all parts of the cost of attending our conference. This can mean a waiver of the delegation and/or delegate fee, cost-free lodging, complimentary meal plans, and even a stipend for airfare. If you apply for the CCMUNCS Access Program, we can extend the deadline for payment of the registration fee.

How do i register?

In order to be considered for CCMUNCS Access Initiative, the applicant must have already registered for CCMUNCS. Applicants can be school delegations OR individual delegates who require financial assistance.

Access Initiative applicants with demonstrated need will be given priority.

How can I demonstrate financial need?

There is no one set way to demonstrate financial need, but circumstances include participation in programs such as Medicaid and Free/Reduced-Cost lunch programs, among many others. Any documentation you have supporting the case for the necessity of financial aid, such as a W-2 form or similar, is encouraged.

Organizations in Title I schools will be given priority for delegations, although delegations are welcome to submit applications demonstrating their need.

Additionally, school counselor statements supporting the applicant’s financial need is welcome and considered.
